Chef Hans Achim moved to Florida in 2007 working hard to learn the language as he worked for several other restaurants and eateries. In 2012 he opened the Bavarian Haus Restaurant in Mount Dora Fl., and with its success Chef Hans has brought his love for German food and Florida salt air to the Fort Myers area. “We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant, and look forward to serving you.”
We pound every schnitzel by hand when it is ordered, and make everything from scratch down to the apple strudels. We hope everyone will come enjoy the little taste of Germany with us.

H.J. German Corner is a probably the most authentic German food I’ve had in Fort Myers! Chef Hans is a real one man show, he takes your order, he cooks your food and he serves you your food. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is quaint. The restaurant is small (about seven tables) and reservations are a must!
